Audition Dates: Boston Civic Symphony welcomes community members and students who are interested in playing with the orchestra. We typically hold auditions once a year in late August or early September. During the performance season, individual auditions can be scheduled on a case-by-case basis, depending on our need.
Rehearsals: Boston Civic Symphony rehearsals are normally on Monday evenings from 7:00-10:00pm, September through April. There is also a rehearsal on the Saturday afternoon before each concert (2:00-5:00pm) and on concert Sundays (10:00am-2:00pm). Rehearsals are typically held at the Harvard-Epworth Methodist Church in Cambridge, MA.
The first full rehearsal of the 2017-2018 season will be September 11, 2017, 7:00-10:00pm.

Applicants will be heard by our audition committee, which often consists of the music director/conductor, and other section leaders.

Next Audition Date: Auditions for the 2017-2018 season will take place on Tuesday, September 5 from 7:00-10:00pm, Thursday, September 7 from 3:00-8:00pm, and Friday, September 8 from 1:00-5:00pm at Symphony Hall in Boston.
